Our month got started off with a week of surgeries at Clinica Ezell, the first week we had eye and general surgery. In addition, the third week of July included our second surgery week of the month, this week surgeries were General and GYN. In all over 100 patients received surgery that improved their physical health all while receiving love and support for their spiritual health.
In addition to the two surgery weeks we were blessed to be able to build two families a home and kitchen as well as a kitchen for a family whose little girl had just had surgery.
Finally, we helped feed the children this month, with donations received we were able to supply two weeks of fruit as well as 3 meals of chicken.
A most busy month but a blessing for us and the families and children we served.

Home Builds
This month we were able to build for two families with donations received and a team to help with the construction. The first family was Edy Cuca (25) and his wife Elizabeth (23) and their two children Jasper (8) and Mariori (4). Mariori is special needs and this home enabled them to move closer to the rest of their family for love and support to Mariori and her needs. Edy works as a helper on the chicken buses that go from Santa Maria to Antigua while Elizabeth sells vegetables in the market.

Our second home was built for Esteban Concon (44) and his wife Maria (41) and their children Dari (20), Melvin (16), Suri (12), and Levi (9). Esteban is a mason and Maria stays at home with the children. They are also the parents of Elizabeth whom we built for on the same property.

With donations we were also able to build a kitchen for Silvia, her husband Luisiano and three children Marvin (14), Samantha (10), and Kimberly (6). The one they had was bamboo with holes in the roof. The stove was broken in half and would not support the pots.
Children's Feeding Center
We were very blessed this month to receive donations for chicken and fruit. We were able to pass out fruit on 3 different days and provide chicken for chow mein as well as a day of fried chicken. The children were excited and the hugs at the end of the day were such a blessing to us!
Several years ago we had the joy of meeting Kimberly. She was a precious 3 year old that needed strabismus surgery to correct her crossed eyes. We had a family come work along side us one week in 2020 that has two teenage girls. They heard about Kimberly needing eye surgery. One of the daughter's heart was so moved to give her money from the trip to us to help with the surgery costs of Kimberly. During this time Covid-19 shut down the surgical teams from coming to Guatemala. Kimberly waited patiently for 3 years until the doctors returned this month.
Kimberly had her surgery the first week of July and all went well. But, the amazing part was the costs. This surgery normally costs around Q950 with Covid test costing Q250. The leader of Faith in Practice told us that for this month the surgery would be free and that only the cost of the Covid test would be required. And that after this month all surgeries would resume the Q950 price structure.
The donation of that thoughtful teenager paid in full for Kimberly's surgery and changed Kimberly's life forever. What a tremendous blessing! God can use what little we give and multiply it for His good.
Help us to look with eyes from the Lord to see how He is moving and give Him thanks.
