In July we were able to assist in two surgery weeks at Clinica Ezell. The month started with eye surgery and concluded with Ocular Plastics, General, and Gallbladder surgeries. Over 100 patients received operations that changed their way of life. We had many go home seeing for the first time in years and others leaving without constant pain. We love our time at Clinica Ezell and are blessed each and every week we get to serve the Guatemalans there.

In addition to serving two weeks at Clinica Ezell we were able to build 3 homes for families in Santa Maria and 14 rain catchment systems were installed. The town of Santa Maria still only turns on the water 2 days a week for 4 hours each day. Those living on the mountains must come down and fill their jugs and haul them back up to their homes to have water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. It is a daily routine that those in Santa Maria endure without complaint

The rain catchment systems we install are much needed at this time due to the water shortage in Santa Maria. We have many, many on the list for systems and are able to get about 20 a month installed. We hope to have over 200 installed by the end of the year. Here are a few pictures of the ones installed this month. Each family also receives the Gospel message of Christ, a bible, and is invited to church here in Santa Maria if they do not already have a church home.
In addition to the construction and medical clinics we were able to feed the children at Campos. It is such a joy to serve these precious children each and every week.
